Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on August 20th 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive charming characters. Adams grew as the seventh child of seven in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s she began acting and dancing professionally with Boulder's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Then in Minnesota and at a local theatre, she was a chosen to be a part of the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. After her screen debut that was successful, in which she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved to Los Angeles where she began an acting career professionally. From June 1951 to September 22, 1962 she was married with actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began after signing a MGM contract in the mid-1940s. Her work was noticed through actress Norma Shearer. Through the years that followed she was in a variety of well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
